ION has announced support for the upcoming MIAX Futures Onyx matching engine, offering immediate connectivity for trading Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat (Minneapolis HRSW) Futures. The product will migrate from CME Globex to the Onyx platform in the second quarter of 2025.
ION’s infrastructure will also accommodate the trading of Bloomberg 500 (B500) Index futures, which MIAX Futures plans to introduce in the second half of 2025, subject to regulatory clearance from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Onyx, built on proprietary MIAX® technology, will support trading in agricultural and financial futures and options on futures across various locations.

ION will support the Onyx rollout across its cleared derivatives front-office platform, enabling banks and brokers using ION’s system to execute and clear trades on MIAX Futures with minimal operational changes.
